- It is SAFE to breastfeed your baby while pregnant. It is safe for the mother and the baby
- Your milk is safe for the breastfeeding child though small amounts of pregnancy hormones get to the baby through the breast milk.
- The hormone oxytocin released during breastfeeding is too small, so it does not cause miscarriage or premature labour. It is thus safe for the new pregnancy.
- It is important that you reduce stress and increase your food intake to effectively nurse your baby and still carry the new pregnancy
- It is also safe to nurse the 2 children, called tandem nursing
