HAVE I GOT URINARY INFECTION?
Urine infection means presence of infection in the urine and urine passages (bladder, urethra, kidneys).
What you may notice
- You may pass cloudy foul-smelling urine
- Pain while urinating
- Increase in the urge and rate of urination
- Inability to delay the urge to urinate or to hold urine.
What may have caused it
- It is common in women, and more in pregnant women
- Women with vaginal infection or sexually transmitted infection
- Poor toilet habit
- Poor hygiene
How to prevent urine infection
- Fluid intake; take at least 3 liters of water a day
- Do not delay the urge to urinate
- Keep your private part clean
- Urinate and clean up before and after sexual intercourse
