Insect sting is common in school children and farmers.
What you may notice
- Pain at site
- Redness
- Swelling at site of bite
- Tingling sensation on the site
What you can do
- Put ice or icepack on the site of bite. Wrap the ice in a towel or napkin before putting it on the skin
- Wash the site with water and soap
- Remove any stinger if present at the site
- Painkillers can be used
- Hydrocortisone cream can be applied to reduce the skin itching
Visit a doctor if you notice any of these
- High Temperature or fever
- Difficulty with breathing
- Swelling of the Lip or face
- Weakness or dizziness
