- Red rash in the baby’s diaper area
- The child may cry excessively
- The baby’s body may be warm
What you can do
- Change the baby’s diaper regularly
- Remove the diaper for some hours so that fresh air can reach the baby’s buttocks
- Barrier creams like Vaseline, or zinc oxide cream can be applied
- Sometimes the diaper rash can be infected by yeast or bacteria, it is thus important to let a doctor examine the rash.
