- People often feel the person’s forehead; this may give false information because it only tells the temperature difference between your hand and the person’s forehead.
- Use a thermometer, this is the standard way. Get a digital thermometer. You can put the bulb of the thermometer under the tongue, in the armpit or in the anus. Keep the thermometer in place for 2 minutes or until it beeps, then check the reading. Wipe the thermometer with methylated spirit after use
